Each year, the WiSo Faculty offers its students the exclusive opportunity to participate in an exciting and challenging 6-week intensive programme in the heart of New York City. The WiSo@NYC programmes are planned and organised by the WiSo Faculty’s International Relations Center (ZIB WiSo) and enable you to earn up to 24 ECTS towards your degree.

In the meantime we invite you to have a look at the recent experience reports (see 'Links' on the right; on mobile devices, please click 'More' at the bottom of the page).

Programmes in 2018 are scheduled for Monday, 6 August to Friday, 14 September 2018 (6 weeks).

You are eligible to apply if you are enrolled in one of the following study programmes under PO2015 (those studying under PO2007 are eligible regardless of their study programme):

  • BSc Business Administration, BSc Economics, BSc Economics soc. (Schwerpunktbereich); BSc Information Systems (Ergänzungsbereich)
  • MSc Business Administration, MSc Information Systems (Ergänzungsbereich)

Credits that count towards your degree are a key aspect and all courses are designed to enable this. The specific course offer varies depending on whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student. It is possible to earn up to 24 ECTS towards your degree at MSc level (21 ECTS at BSc level).

Generally, the course content aims to address current American topics in the area of management, business strategy and economics, and takes an analytical and comparative approach to Europe. All courses are taught in English by US faculty.

The application round via WEX is open between Wed 24 January to Wed 31 January 2018 (strict deadline).
