Outgoing students

Studying abroad gives students valuable experience in terms of their chosen field of study, cultural awareness and language learning. The Cologne WiSo Faculty offers its students numerous possibilities to gain international experience without having to extend their studies.

Students interested in an exchange term can apply for a single-term, tuition-free stay at one of the WiSo Faculty's partner universities through the Study Abroad Programmes STAP Bachelor and STAP Master. The freemover programme allows students to organise studies abroad themselves, irrespective of university exchange programmes.

Students who would prefer a shorter stay abroad can apply for the WiSo@NYC programme, a six-week summer programme in New York City. There is also a choice of other summer schools and short programmes as well as the Utrecht Short Programme in Sociology for sociology students.

Completing an internship abroad is another great opportunity to gain valuable practical expertise, combined with a unique cultural experience.
