New offer for Master students: WiSo@HongKong

With guest lecturers from the Hong Kong Management Association and the China University of Hong Kong in Shenzhen, WiSo@HongKong is a unique six-week programme for master students of the WiSo Faculty.

The Hong Kong component focuses on intercultural communication, and opportunities and challenges of doing business in Asia. The Shenzhen module offers two courses that examine the Chinese economy and innovation efforts. Throughout the programme, simulations and case studies are used to build China-specific expertise in a methodological and application-oriented manner. At the same time, participants acquire key competences in international management and comprehensive leadership. Co-curricular excursions provide insights into international business operations and offer additional room for intercultural experiences.

Hong Kong, as a well-developed financial hub, and Shenzhen, with its high scores in infrastructure, represent accessible gateways to the region. Current construction of one of the world’s longest bridges and a high-speed railway will improve transportation links between the two cities and move them towards a border-spanning megalopolis - making the area a powerful economic junction to watch in the coming years.
Participants who successfully complete all programme components earn up to 24 ECTS towards their programme of study at the WiSo Faculty. Additionally, grades received for credit-bearing courses within the WiSo@HongKong/Shenzhen programme count toward students’ final degree classification.

Programme dates: 29 July - 6 September 2019
