Cologne doctoral students

The Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences (WiSo Faculty) at the University of Cologne has cooperation agreements for doctoral student exchanges with a number of prestigious partner universities abroad. For doctoral students at the WiSo Faculty, this means they can attend the doctoral courses at the partner institution without having to pay tuition fees and participate in academic activities that advance their studies. In addition, every outgoing doctoral student is given access to the partner institution's research resources.

For an overview of all partner institutions for all study fields, please click here. Please note that doctoral student exchange is based on individual assessment and depends on the partner university's research focus. Further information about the individual partner universities can be found on the WiSo EXchange (WEX) International Outgoings Portal. Please keep in mind that the information provided refers to bachelor and master students. Doctoral students with a specific interest may contact the International Relations Center (ZIB WiSo) to find out which universities are available in their field of study.

If you would like more information on the application process, the Cologne Graduate School (CGS) – the Faculty's structured doctoral programme – will be pleased to assist you.
